Octoball

My son fell asleep on the couch and I woke him up and sent him to bed. He said, "I dreamt I saw a snowman with an octopus on its head in front of our house with a plane flying overhead. What do you think that means?"

"Travel. You want to get away from the cold and fly somewhere you can scuba dive and see ocean life." He said "Mom, that's dumb, I don't scuba dive." I said, "Honey, if you're going to insist that random things have meanings, you're going to have to accept random meanings!" : )

Oh, don't be so mean to him!

I see the meaning of the dream in all its Cosmic Simplicity. (Cue hindu-like voice): The octopus is the symbol of the Ayurvheda, and the introduction of the snow is simply a reinterpretation of the teachings of Ganesh, the Third God, who saw snow as merely water, but turned to small crystals, as if white, but actually quite transparent, if viewed through the appropriate viewing device, such as spectacles, much like Gandhi's. And do you you know, I do not have any idea how to spell Gandhi? Is the H towards the very end or merely at the beginning, which is the source of all things?

THIS is my interpretation of his night-time vision: You're hungry for calamari on ice. Vinnie's on Third Street has a good version but pass on the salad . . . lousy dressing.
