I heard "Stayin' Alive" on the radio and thought, "Wow, I'd like to learn that bass line." When I got back to my office/library/music room I see how things really are. I don't have room to get out and play my guitars let alone set up my PA because in reality, my family has piled my office with stacks of Rubbermaid boxes with miscellaneous stuff for me to "go through". While I've been sleeping my family has turned my space into a junk room. It inches up on you and then piles up on you. (My own fault for letting others drop their crap on me.)

Wow, didn't know you were a musician -- or at least would be if your guitar wasn't buried.
I never had the patience to learn guitar -- you don't have to wait for calluses to build up to play piano.
I've decided I'm going to paint the spare bedroom black. Yes, black. With killer track lighting. And then I'm going to set up my music studio. The problem is: should the carpet be white, or black? All black or black and white?
Take back your space, Qaro . . . and Sue, if you haven't heard her, Qaro is a VERY professional musician . . . better than I'll ever be. Ask for a couple of songs and you'll see what I mean.
Sue, it's a secret: You don't really need callouses for bass! You don't even have to have very short nails.
My best bass-playing was on Medicated on the Jill In The Box myspace.
Take back my space. Thanks, Nick. If any of the pictures on your blog are really your place then I think you like things classy. I think you should go with dark carpet for 2 reasons. If you get white someone will spill wine on it. And also wouldn't it be cool to light a candle and play guitar in a room so dark it just might go on forever?
You're right. Since I was small I've always wanted a totally black room. It would be so dramatic! And the best thing is, I can! There is no one to tell me I'm crazy.
A few pot lights, black carpeting, the computers, could be ultra-cool!
I just pity whoever has to repaint . . .
