You Don't Have to Cook Like a Recipe

We made some awesome beef stir fry with baby-baby carrots, onions and peapods from our garden! And green pepper, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes from the store. And real basmati rice. Sorry it's not pictured; It disappeared too quickly!

I would really like to learn how to make my own stir-fry sauce instead of using a mix...

oh, yum!
My favorite stir fry recipe (for pea pods and shrimp) calls for 1 tsp or cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 Tablespoons of dry sherry or dry white wine. Mix all the ingredients (particularly being sure to disolve the cornstarch in liquid) before putting it in the hot pan of stir-fried veggies. However, I usually doubled all the proportions to get more sauce.
