I finally got to see the movie "Momma Mia!" last night. It took all of a minute for my family to ditch me. For the whole first little while it was hard to get into. About a third of the way in, I felt so silly I almost ditched myself. But if you can hang in there long enough I does have its touching moments. ABBA wrote really great lyrics, yet somehow made them work in songs. Now they are stuck in my head. Yay.

This summer I left my husband at home, and went to see "Momma Mia!" at an afternoon matinee at the mall. The entire audience was made up of women over 50 many of whom had come with large groups of friends. Everyone in the audience sang or hummed along (and this was before they released the sing along version for theatres). I think it helped get in the spirit, being in the right company.
Now THAT's the way to do it! Sounds like it was a blast! : )
