As a matter of fact, I need recommendations on books that are well written but uplifting. I've been in an angry mood and I need some warm fuzzies for my heart and head! : )
Unfortunately most of what I read are books either murder mysteries or books about how bad things are (in the environment, the economy, etc.) and how to fix them which is probably not what you are looking for. One thing I can recommend is "When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times" by Pema Chodron. Chodron is an American Buddhist num. I found it enormously uplifting and helpful the year my husband and I were apart. He was in graduate school 150 miles away so we weren't "separated" but it was still very difficult.
Thanks for the recommendation! I think I will check that out.
It had to be tough being away from him, wow.
We're not separated now. I trying to be more realistic. Choices are not between [misery] or [winning the lottery]. It's more like [misery with benefits] or [a 25% pay cut]. LOL?
