We were thinking about getting a TV for the family for Christmas. I was sorely tempted by a Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV $699.99 doorbuster at Sears. It's just a gorgeous television at $300 off.
But it's a "No".
I can't blow the whole budget on one thing. The kids would agree to just one family gift but would never believe Santa wouldn't come through for them in the end, because he always has...
This might be more than our budget anyway. I'll be working part-time for the next pay period and even though J's working on a house that should last a few months, he doesn't get paid for "snow days".
Our TV converter box coupons are ordered, so we'll see how that works out.
Anyway, I ran around to several stores yesterday. Too much walking. I woke up in so much pain this morning I had to take one of my last 3 Percocet which I was saving for emergencies.
They say these pain pills are addictive. I know what a craving for cigarettes is like. I had good luck "deliberately misinterpreting" those cravings. I'd hold my left arm up for a few minutes. The body can tell something happened, all the fluid drains out of your arm. But it doesn't get the craving anywhere, does it? I don't know for sure but I'd like to think it made the cravings go away faster.
I'm just worried, what about pain medicine? What is the craving going to be?? Pain???
